The initial booth space for the 2008 Wire Expo is sold out, the Wire Association International Inc. reported. Expanding the exhibit space within the Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh for the June 7-11, 2008, convention will depend on additional exhibitors.

WAI sales director Bob Xeller noted this is the first time in many years that exhibit space has sold out. “We do have the possibility to expand our inventory of booths and we have started a stand-by list so that we can address that option as the show approaches,” he said.

Wire Expo features a keynote address by Mark Thackery of General Cable; 25 technical paper presentations; demonstrations of production solutions; Fundamentals of Wire Manufacturing workshop; a tour of Monongahela Valley blast furnace; a Lean Sigma luncheon and plant operations roundtable; Practical Extrusion workshop and networking opportunities.
The International Fastener Machinery & Suppliers Association will meet in conjunction with Wire Expo. Web: ifmsainfo.com
