The 2018 Taiwan International Fastener Show has booked 410 exhibiting companies totaling 1,100 booths and show organizers are predicting “around 2,000 international buyers,” will attend.

The trade show will be April 10-12, 2018, at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center.

Show organizers say the numbers make it the third largest fastener exhibition in the world and the second largest in Asia.

The Bureau of Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Economic Affairs are the show’s main organizers, with Kaohsiung City Government co-organizing, both jointly implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Industrial Fastener Institute.

This year the show is expanding to the third floor conference rooms.

The trade show has three zones: Nuts, bolts and screws; Machines, materials, molds and hand tools; and Cross-Strait.

A focus this year will be light-weighting – such as titanium screws for the aerospace sector and high-end bicycles.

Other features will be “smart” manufacturing and management capabilities; automated warehousing systems; robotic arms for packaging; driverless transporter vehicles; production monitoring systems; and high-tensile-strength alloy steel screw products for international automotive manufacturers.

There will be live-streamed, international fastener industry summit, ‘Focusing on Automotive Components to Develop Global Markets’, on opening day with leaders from European and North American fastener industry associations and representatives of major automotive brands. Managers from Taiwanese fastener manufacturers will present case studies of entering into  European and North American automotive fastener markets.

There will be a welcome dinner, procurement meetings and human talent matching meetings.
