Registration has opened for the second Fastener Fair USA, set for May 22-23, 2019, at the Cobo Center in Detroit.
Fastener Fair described the 2019 trade show as “a convenient location in the heart of the Midwest manufacturing region.”
There are more than 300 exhibitors from around the world thus far, show organizer Mack Brooks announced.
The floor map with exhibitors is on the website: FastenerFair.com/USA.
The 2019 show will include conference sessions with industry information, forecasts and technical education with keynotes and breakouts for all levels of experience, industry focus, and visitor segments.
Educational sessions experts include: Lammert DeBoer, global director of ZinKlad, DecoKlad & XMAPP (quality performance systems) at MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions; Graham Immerman, Machine Metrics; and Derek Dandy, BodyCote S3P. The Metropolitan Fastener Distributor Association and Women in the Fastener Industry will also conduct sessions.
There will be two stages on the exhibit hall floor for concurrent educational tracks targeted to distributors and OEM end-users. The Fastener Training Institute will present a pre-show seminar: Fastening 101 training to newcomers in the industry, led by Laurence Claus of NNi Training & Consulting. This year’s session will also include automotive information.
FTI will also introduce a new mentoring component where newcomers will be paired up with industry veterans during the show for additional learning, support, and networking.
The welcome party for networking will be at the GM Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit. The Young Fastener Professionals will sponsor a Fastener Trivia game in the Networking Lounge on Wednesday of the show.
The first Fastener Fair USA was held in 2018 in Cleveland and drew 2,300 registrants – including mechanical engineers, product designers, purchasers and R&D personnel.
“We are excited about the fact that it is in Detroit,” Angor-Intools CEO Andrew Dreger said. “It is one of the largest automotive and aerospace manufacturing centers in the U.S. We hope the local companies are going to send not only top-level executives to the show, but the machine operators as well.”
Early-bird show and hotel room registration is open now.
