2nd Fastener Fair India Scheduled for 2013
The first Fastener Fair India drew 4,800 visitors, according to show organizer Inter Ads–Brooks Exhibitions (India) Pvt. Ltd.
The next Fastener Fair India will be April 17-18, 2013, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.
The trade show included industrial fasteners, construction fixings, assembly, installation systems and manufacturing technology.
Half of the 90 exhibitors came from outside India, with an even spread of companies from Europe, Asia and the Americas.
According to a show management survey 95% of exhibitors reported positive business enquiries at their stands. Three quarters responded that they would return in 2013.
Attendees were mainly from India, with 3% from all parts of the world. A total of 32% of visitors were fastener and fixings manufacturers; purchasers 21%; engineers 18%; end users 12%; and distributors 11%. One quarter of the visitors were in mechanical engineering; 22% in automotive and its suppliers; 13% in electrical products and domestic appliances; and 11% in hardware / DIY retailing.
“The Indian economy is well known as one of the great powerhouses of global industrial growth. Consumer demand for cars, domestic appliances and electrical equipment as well as current and future infrastructure and energy projects mean that the Indian fastener and fixings industry will need to rapidly increase capacity to respond to this growth,” Mack Brooks chair Stephen Brooks said.
Fastener Fair India was co-located with the second edition of the sheet metal trade show, Blech India. Blech announced 7,000 attendees, 139 exhibitors from 18 countries.
“We look forward to sustain ably developing this show into India’s key platform for the fastener and fixings industry,” Inter Ads–Brooks chairman Rajan Sharma said. Web: fastenerfair.com ©2011 GlobalFastenerNews.com
