37 New 2015 Las Vegas Exhibitors; NIFMSE Honoring BBI’s Shieh

Thus far 37 new companies have booked booths at the 2015 National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo, trade show general manager Susan Hurley announced.
NIFMSE will be October 21-23, 2015, at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.
“We have sold 71,700 net sq ft of exhibit space to 523 companies from throughout the U.S. and 11 other nations around the world including Canada, China, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey,” Hurley said.
More than two-thirds of 2014 exhibiting companies have renewed their space for 2015, Hurley said.
NIFSME set a record at 822 booths in 2014, edging the previous high of 821 in 2007.
Hurley added that the Machinery & Tooling and the mill supply sections of the trade show are growing.
Conference sessions by the Pacific-West Fastener Association, Fastener Training Institute, National Fastener Industry Financial Manager Network, Manufacturers’ Agents National Association, Women in the Fastener Industry, and Young Fastener Professionals will be on Wednesday at the Sands. The opening reception will be at a poolside location at Treasure Island.
Hurley announced Robert Shieh, CEO of Brighton-Best International and founder/CEO of Ta Chen Group, will be inducted into the NIFMSE Hall of Fame during a private reception Wednesday. A second honoree will be announced later.
The trade show will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.Thursday and 9 p.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
Hurley predicted 4,600 fastener distributors, importers, manufacturers, manufacturer’s reps, independent sales agents, the industry media, and others from 35 countries will attend. Total registration in 2014 was 4,606. The NIFMSE record was set at 5,629 in 2007.
The 2015 trade show marks the 35th anniversary of the first show held in June 1981 in Columbus, OH.
