39 Students Participate in 1st FTI/IFI Automotive Training

The first Automotive Fastener Technology training program drew 39 students. The Fastener Training Institute and the Industrial Fasteners Institute partnered to present a two-day technical training program in Troy, MI in April.

This course was created to provide understanding of automotive fasteners for service providers, fastener manufacturers, tier suppliers and OEMs.

The program included tours of a heat treating facility – Commercial Steel Treating – and a coatings/surface finishing facility – Curtis Metal Finishing.

Instructors were Joe Greenslade of the IFI and Salim Brahimi of IBECA Technologies. Brian Lowry of Curtis taught coatings and surface finishing and Ralph Shoberg of PCB Load & Torque) covered load cell technology
