G.L. Huyett acquired Phoenix, AZ-based AZ Lifting Hardware (AZLH) for an undisclosed sum.
“This acquisition complements G.L. Huyett’s strategy to grow our business exponentially through the addition of products and services that add value to our customers,” stated G.L. Huyett CEO Tim O’Keeffe.
“We now have a warehouse located in the Southwest, allowing us to reduce freight costs to the West Coast for G.L. Huyett products, as well as plans to dispatch lifting hardware to our Tennessee Warehouse to reduce freight costs for customers on the East Coast.”
Founded by Chuck Smith in 2006, AZLH supplies eye bolts, turnbuckles, clevises / yoke ends, rod ends, shackles / hooks, rope / chain hardware, stainless steel and custom products to industrial and construction markets, and is headquartered at 7150 W. Roosevelt St. C-101, Phoenix, AZ 85043. Tel: 888 936-1466 Web: AZLiftingHardware.com
“I started this business with a mission to offer high quality hardware at fair pricing, ‘Global Sourcing with Domestic Standards,’” stated Smith, who said he is retiring. “It has been a great run, and this is a perfect fit.”
AZLH’s primary product lines are immediately available on Huyett.com.
This is G.L. Huyett’s fourth acquisition in three years.
“We are still in the market to acquire businesses of other retiring or interested entrepreneurs and hope to continue to add products and locations,” O’Keefe added.
In March, G. L. Huyett purchased the HANDI-CHEK packaged goods business of ITW Shakeproof Industrial Products. The acquisition included equipment, inventory, assets, and intellectual property – including the “HANDI-CHEK” brand name.
Established in 1906 by Guy Huyett, G.L. Huyett is one of the oldest continuously operating businesses in Kansas. The company is a manufacturer, master distributor and importer of non-threaded fasteners supplying industrial distributors, and is located at 1215 E. 8th, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
