Jörgen Rosengren was appointed CEO of European fastener producer Bufab, effective in the summer of 2012.
Rosengren succeeds founder and CEO Hans Björstrand, who will remain a director.
Bjorstrand has been with Bufab since 1977.
“With his broad international experience, he is well suited to further strengthen the company’s position both in and outside Sweden”, chairman Sven-Olof Kulldorff explained.
“Through a consistent focus on profitability and a long-term growth strategy during the past 35 years, Hans has led the construction of Bufab from the ground to become the leading supplier of Small Parts in the Nordic region, as well as one of the biggest and most profitable players in Europe,” Kulldorff said.
Rosengren holds a masters in engineering, and has been employed by Husqvarna Group since 2004, most recently as global head of its handheld products. Rosengren also has worked for Electrolux, McKinsey & Company and Philips Electronics in the Netherlands.

Elgin Fastener Group appointed Ian McKenna CFO.
McKenna has held senior financial management positions in Canada and the U.S., in cosmetics, injection molding and steel to automotive parts manufacturing and 20 years with Eli Lilly & Company.
“His previous experience will serve us well as we continue to pursue strategic fastener acquisitions and expansion of our existing manufacturing divisions,” EFG president Jeff Liter said.

Midwest Fastener Corp. opened a distribution center in Gloversville, NY. Midwest paid $1.1 million for a 65,000 sq ft facility, Business Review reported.
Midwest Fastener outbid a kayak company for the former Calloway Golf factory, which reportedly had been on the market for three years at an asking price of $2 million.
Operations manager Clair Carr told the Review that Midwest is renovating the facility and plans to use 45,000 sq ft to distribute packaged fasteners to hardware stores and industrial clients.
Midwest Fastener plans eight to 12 employees as it consolidates the inventory of a smaller distribution center in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Monogram Aerospace Fasteners president Brian McGuire will retire at the end of March, parent company TriMas Corp. announced. David Adler, Monogram COO since January 2011, will succeed him.
McGuire will function as president of munitions components maker NI Industries until July. McGuire will remain a part of the Los Angeles-based Monogram team “focused on several key projects,” the company stated.
Adler will manage TriMas’ Aerospace and Defense business segment, which includes NI Industries and report to TriMas CEO David Wathen.
McGuire was appointed to his current role in 2008 after spending seven years as president of Norris Cylinder, also a TriMas business.
Adler has 30 years experience in the aerospace and automotive industries. He previously was general manager of aerospace machining supplier Beacon Industries and holds bachelors in industrial engineering and industrial management from Purdue.
