Cologne Hardware Show Draws Attendees From 132 Countries
The 38th International Hardware Fair Köln (Cologne) drew about 53,500 trade visitors for 132 countries, show organizers announced. There were 2,665 exhibitors from 50 countries.
The biennial trade show was held March 4-7, 2012, in Cologne, Germany.
The preliminary attendee figure of was down from 56,500 at the last show in 2010, but the number of countries represented rose from 124 to 132, with 61% from abroad.
Katharina Hamma, Koelnmesse GmbH executive vice president, noted that in addition to visitors coming from 132 countries, 80% of exhibitors came from outside Germany.
The Eisen 2012 Awards for innovation went to: Gedore Tool Center KG, KNIPEX-Werk C. Gustav Putsch KG and Rhodius Schleifwerkzeuge GmbH & Co.KG.
