Titanium Alloy Fastener Demand Rises in China

With the burden of 100 aircraft orders, fastener producers in China are trying to meet growing domestic demand for titanium alloy fasteners, Fastener World reports.

“One China’s passenger jet C919 demands for 200 thousands pieces of titanium alloy fasteners, and thus to fulfill the initial orders of 100 aircraft, it needs 20 million pieces of titanium alloy fasteners,” according to Fastener World.

To achieve the goal of manufacturing 150 large aircraft annually by 2018, China needs to add capacity for 30 million pieces of titanium alloy fasteners per year.
