Doncasters Top-Line Growth Can’t Reverse Operating Losses
UK-based Doncasters Group reported revenues climbed 11% to £745m in 2011, boosted by growth in key markets. But top-line growth couldn’t stem the widening level of operating losses to £11.5m.
The firm’s fasteners systems sector increased sales by £11.6m to £137.9m, while its specialized engineering arm recorded a £34.6m rise to £284.6m as the automotive truck markets recovered.
A total of £130.5m came from UK sales, compared with £119.7m in 2010. The U.S. contributed £303m in sales.
The group operates from 35 manufacturing facilities globally. ©2012 GlobalFastenerNews.com
