B/E Aerospace is investing US$48 million to manufacture aircraft galleys at the First Philippine Industrial Park in Batangas, ABS-CBNnews.com reports.
Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) director-general Lilia de Lima said the project will start in 2013 and will create 140 jobs.

Florida-based B/E Aerospace reported revenue at its Consumables management segment (CMS) — primarily fasteners — climbed 19.5% to $286.6 million in the second quarter of 2012, with operating earnings rising 14.9% to $55.5 million.

The second-quarter CMS growth rate, while strong, slowed a bit from the 24.3% rate of growth recorded in the opening quarter of 2012.

Six-month consumables revenue increased 21.8% to $573.4 million, with operating earnings gaining 15.5% to $107.3 million. Web: beaerospace.com

 

EDSCO Fasteners marked its 20 anniversary on October 22, 2012.

NORMA Group opened a Russian and Eastern Europe distribution center in Moscow.

The facility is near the Sheremetyevo airport. The company plans to start shipping to customers in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

“Our new presence in Moscow caters to the growing local and Eastern European demand for engineered joining technology,” stated CEO Werner Deggim.

Tennessee Galvanizing is marking its 20th anniversary through construction of a $2.3 million expansion of its plant, sales & marketing VP Paul Skiles announced.  The expansion includes a new centrifuge process and warehouse space and will create 35 jobs.

CEO David Ware Sr. thanked Marion County, the city of Jasper and state officials “for their help in making this expansion happen.”

Mayor John Graham thanked the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development “for their help in making this project a reality.”
