NEWS BRIEF

Hahn Systems LLC will expand its Indianapolis headquarters and add 20 jobs by 2016.
Hahn will invest $900,000 to purchase and equip a 27,000 sq ft facility to house its Southeastern Supply Co. division. Hahn acquired SESCO in 2012.

The new facility is slated to open in June 2013.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation is providing Hahn Systems up to $140,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $20,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. Hahn is not eligible to claim the incentives until the company hires new employees.

The city of Indianapolis approved additional tax abatement at the request of Develop Indy.

“Hahn Systems is excited to be making this investment in Indianapolis as part of the aggressive growth plans we have for our SESCO division,” Hahn president Scott Brown told Fox Channel 59.

“SESCO will be increasing its office and warehouse capacity by more than 70% and will look to hire additional personnel to keep pace with forecasted revenue increases. We feel this is an ideal time to be investing in Indiana for the long term and are thankful for the state and local assistance required to make this investment a reality.”

Doug Hahn was the 2006 president of the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association.

Founded in 1938, Hahn Systems supplies fasteners, construction and industrial tools, including nails, staples and abrasives.

The company added lumber, dry wall and other masonry supplies with its SESCO acquisition.

Hahn has branches in Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan and is headquartered at 5762 W. 74th St., Indianapolis, IN 46278. Tel: 317 243-3796 or 800 201-4246 Fax 317 244-9079 ©2013 GlobalFastenerNews.com
