Succession, legal pitfalls, company culture, the economy, purchasing and leadership are among the topics for the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Manufacturers Association’s education sessions for 2013.

STAFDA’s 37thannual convention and trade show will be November 11-13, 2013 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. 
Monday’s education session include Ryan Barradas, Succession or Exit; Marianne Jennings, Rep-specific program – Practical Practices for Avoiding Legal Pitfalls; Jack Daly, Company Culture: Is Yours by Default or Design?; Dan McQuiston, Roaring Out of the Recession; Jon Schreibfeder, Effective Purchasing & Inventory Management; Mike Staver, Leadership Isn’t for Cowards.

Tuesday: ESPN interviewer Roy Firestone, football legend/television sports commentator Terry Bradshaw, former UConn basketball coach Jim Calhoun and three-time World Series champion and baseball manager Tony LaRussa will be the general session presenters.

STAFDA president Rick Lamb will give the state-of-distribution address, followed by Scott MacKay of Husqvarna Construction Products speaking on manufacturing.

Wednesday: Alan Beaulieu will give an Economic Update prior to the second day of the STAFDA trade show.

The Monday opening party will be at the Hard Rock Hotel and include a concert by Earth, Wind & Fire.
