ACQUISITION: Southwest Fastener Acquires Albuquerque’s Bolt Company

Arizona’s Southwest Fastener has agreed to acquire The Bolt Company of New Mexico.

The Bolt Company was founded in 2009 by John Barnhill and Mike Grandjean.

Southwest president Ken Lubbering cited Bolt Company employees as key to the acquisition.

“The part that interested Southwest Fastener the most was not the tangible assets; it was the employees that will be coming with the acquisition.” 

Southwest will gain four employees with 50+ years of fastener experience.

Bolt Company customers will be able to call the same person at the same number, Lubbering noted.

Barnhill, co-founder and manager, said the “New Mexico market will definitely have a new and powerful fastener company able to provide great service, competitive pricing and expertise.

Lee Truett handles inside sales and purchasing; Dean Johnson shipping and manufacturing; and Frank Dales, outside sales and order compliance.

The Bolt Company supplies fasteners for the construction, mechanical, manufacturing and solar industries in the Albuquerque and Clovis areas. The company manufactures anchor bolts and studs.
