China Steel Corp. Hikes Wire Rod & Bar Prices

Taiwan’s China Steel Corp. announced domestic prices for April and May. 

CSC will keep its prices unchanged for steel plates and cold-rolled non-grain oriented silicon steel (CRNGO); on the other hand, the company 

CSC will hike its price by NT$29/ton for steel wire rods and bars; by NT$100/ton for HRC; by NT$132/ton for CRC; by NT$300/ton for EGI; and by NT$150/ton for HGI.  

“Current demand from downstream has increased due to improving global economy,” according to Yieh Corp. Steel Market News. “However, there’s still some uncertainty about the state of the global economy, the company decided to raise prices on certain products.”
