U.S. Wire Rod Buyers Expecting Price Hikes

U.S. wire rod customers expect further price hikes in the coming weeks, according to American Metal Market.

“Wire rod buyers could resist the moves amid uncertainty about demand,” AMM reports.

Tags have been steady the past week, buyers note, with industrial-quality low-carbon wire rod at $33.75 to $34 per cwt ($675 to $680 per ton), according to AMM.
