ITW Operating Revenue Increases

Illinois Tool Works Inc. reported a 3% gain in operating revenue for the three month period ending August 31.
ITW also announced that third quarter profits will fall short of projections, but insisted its yearly forecast for 2002 remains unchanged. The news drove ITW�s stock down about 5%. For the year, the company�s stock has lost almost 11%.
