Brennan Returns to ATF Inc. as President
ATF Inc. CEO Don Surber announced Kevin Brennan, who started his career with the Illinois-based fastener manufacturer, is returning as the new president.
Brennan succeeds Jason Russell Surber, 44, who died in March (click on Obituaries).
Brennan has 35 years of experience in metals and plastics manufacturing. He rejoins ATF from Mikrotech LLC, a manufacturer of micro precision components for medial device companies, where he was president and CEO.
He also has been president / COO of Asyst Technologies LLC, an EJOT / ATF joint venture, where Brennan led tier two manufacturer of automotive lighting components.
Brennan’s experience includes international joint ventures, strategic alliances and intellectual property management. He was chair of Intec-Mexico, an Asyst joint venture with Intec Group, and is a member of the ATF advisory board.
“While Kevin brings tremendous capabilities to ATF, his appointment is also significant in terms of ATF’s culture, as manifested by ‘the ATF way’,” Surber described the new president.
Founded in 1946 in the stockyards of Chicago’s West Side, ATF initially was a supplier of surplus World War II military fasteners. Today ATF supplies engineered fasteners, cold-formed and machined components and assemblies.
In 1978, when ATF was a subsidiary of Beatrice Foods, Surber became ATF president. He acquired ATF in 1982.
In 1998, ATF co-founded the Global Fastener Alliance as a network joint venture of fastener companies with operations in Asia, Europe and the Americas. The GFA gives each member company a global footprint, offering sourcing, logistics, and engineering support in all of the world’s major manufacturing regions.
ATF has a joint venture in Mexico – EJOT ATF Fasteners de Mexico (EAFM), offers local manufacturing, distribution and related services to our customers in Mexico. ATF’s joint venture Rifast Systems, LLC, provides in-die staking of studs and nuts in stampings and Asyst Technologies, LLC, offers injection molded parts, assemblies and mechanisms.
ATF is headquartered at 3550 W. Pratt Ave., Lincolnwood, IL 60712-3798. Tel: 847 677-1300 Web: ATF-inc.com
