IFI Offers Pre-publication Discount

The seventh edition of the Industrial Fastener Institute�s inch Fastener Standards is in final review and will go to the printer this month, IFI managing director Rob Harris announced.\
The book updates North American fastener standards, technical guidance in materials, coatings and finishes, threads, products, hole sizes, and quality assurance. The 1,200-page text also includes an introduction to bolted joint design, terminology and product weights.
There are 14 sections: screw threads; materials and coatings; bolts, screws and studs; nuts; high-strength structural bolting; prevailing-torque fasteners; socket screws; tapping screws; machine screws; other small screws; rivets; washers and pins; quality assurance; and engineering and technical data.
There is a pre-publication discount for the 7th edition plus the current 3rd edition of the IFI�s Metric Standards until January 30, 2003. The new Inch text is $245 in advance and $345 after January 30. The combined advance price for the inch text and Metric Standards is $300. For information contact IFI. 1717 E.
