Revenue increases in each division helped H. Paulin & Co. Ltd. report record sales of $123.6 million in 2002, an increase of 12%. The retail hardware and automotive markets provided the biggest boost in sales. Exports climbed 40% to about $12.3 million.
Despite increased revenues, net income remained flat at $3.22 million as worldwide steel prices rose and the auto industry demanded price concessions and higher quality.
The Toronto, Ontario-based manufacturer and supplier noted the successful introduction of Paulin fasteners into 46 Home Depot stores in Illinois. Paulin installed its Fastener Finder computer touch screen technology and stocked 2,400 fasteners.
