A decade after being chair of the Industrial Fasteners Institute, David Lepore will serve another term. Mike Friel of Haydon Bolts/St. Louis Screw is the new vice chairman.\
Lepore succeeds Jim Wittersheim of Semblex Corp. Wittersheim had been vice chair and became chair upon the January 16, 2004, death of chair John Fischer of ITW-CIP. Wittersheim also had been chair for 1992-93.
Lepore was IFI chair for 1994-95. He is president of Robertson Inc., a member of the Marmon Group. Robertson is based in Milton, Ontario, Canada.
Friel is president of Haydon Bolts Inc. in Philadelphia.
New board members are: Jerry DeMars, Nucor Fastener Division; Andre David, Hi-Shear Corp.; and William Graeff, SPS Technologies Inc.
Division I (industrial products) officers: chair Bryan Burgy, Rockford Fastener Inc. and vice chair Tony Tumbarello, Brico Industries Inc.
Division III (automotive): chair David Cronovich, MNP Corp. and vice chair Steve Beach, Textron Fastening Systems.
Associate/Suppliers division: chair Mike Mowins, Phillips Screw Corp. and vice chair Leo Monroe, National Machinery LLC.
Division II (aerospace) officers will be elected later this month.
