SHOW NEWS: Chicago Attendees Can Visit Hardware Show

The American Hardware Manufacturers Association�s trade show will be held at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago starting two days ahead of the Midwest Fastener Show in suburban Rosemont, IL.
AHMA has produced the International Hardware Week in conjunction with the National Hardware Show each August in Chicago. AHMA split from show producer Reed Exhibitions and will hold a hardware show April 18-20, 2004, at Chicago�s McCormick Place. Reed Exhibitions, which owns the National Hardware Show name, is moving its event to May 10-12, 2004, at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The Midwest Fastener Expo includes the Chicago Fastener Show and training programs by the National Fastener Distributors Association and the Los Angeles Fastener Association.
The fastener trade show, sponsored by the Mid-West Fastener Association (formerly the Chicago Bolt, Nut & Screw Association), will be from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, near Chicago�s O�Hare International Airport.
The LAFA quality assurance, print reading and inspection seminar will be on Monday and NFDA�s Train the Trainer technical training program will be on Tuesday.
There will be a Lake Michigan dinner cruise Monday evening and the Fastener Bash following the Tuesday show.
Official fastener hotels are the Embassy Suites Hotel at $129; Comfort Suites/Schiller Park, $89; Holiday Inn O�Hare, $99; and Four Points Sheraton/O�Hare, $89. Information on other hotels is available through the fastener association or a variety of online hotel services.
