Forging Sales Down in 2003; Kostolansky Heads FIA

Forging industry sales slipped for the third year in a row in 2003, according to the Forging Industry Association.
Impression die forging shipments decreased 3% to $3.9 billion; open die forging was down 5% to $647.1 million and seamless rolled ring forging slipped 2% to $522.1 million.
David Kostolanski of Schaefer Equipment Inc. of Warren, OH, was elected association president and Gregory Keeler of Aluminum Precision Products Inc. of Santa Ana, CA, was elected vice president.
