SHOW NEWS: NIFS / East Tops 200 Booths

Show management reported that 192 exhibitors have reserved 204 booths for the 25th annual National Industrial Fastener Show / East.
The trade show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005, at the Baltimore Convention Center. The Los Angeles Fastener Association is slated to present its fastener specifications & terminology class, and the fastener subcommittee of the SAE Ship Systems technical committee will meet on Wednesday. NIFS will have an opening reception Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The show’s room block at the headquarters Baltimore Marriot Inner Harbor Hotel is filled. The $165 hotel rate includes a credit to show management for the opening reception.
The show is offering the Holiday Inn / Inner Harbor at $139. A recent Hotels.com listed more than 10 nearby hotels. A sampling of prices range from the Mount Vernon Hotel at $114, both the Days Inn Inner Harbor and the all suites Tremont Plaza at $132, to the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel at $299.
Distributors can attend the May 5 NIFS / East exhibits free with a pass from any exhibitor. Attendees also can register in advance online at fastenershows.com for $35. Onsite registration is $45.
The free passes are for the exhibit hall only. Only paid registrants may attend the opening reception.
