DaimlerChrysler expects to buy fasteners and other auto parts worth Euro 85 million (US$104.4 million) from India in 2005, an 8% increase over last year, Dow Jones News reported.
Next year, that figure is predicted to jump 18% to Euro 100 million worth of auto parts, including fasteners.
“These parts will be sourced by DaimlerChrysler for its U.S. and German operations,” stated Suhas Kadlaskar, director of corporate affairs at its Indian unit. 2005 FastenerNews.com
