New York’s UFC Aerospace Acquires UK Fastener Manufacturer BAS Aerospace

UFC Aerospace Corp. acquired BAS Aerospace, the aerospace products division of BAS Components Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary TT Electronics plc.
Sevenoaks, England-based BA Aerospace manufactures standard and made-to-print precision fasteners and machined components for the European commercial aerospace market in a 26,000 sq ft plant 35 miles southeast of London. BAS also provides kitting and is a stocking distributor for OEMs.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Bayshore, NY-based UFC was founded in 1972 and operates 11 sales offices and two North American branch warehouses. UFC Aerospace provides inventory management, kit packaging and supply chain services to the global aerospace industry. UFC president Douglas Davis noted that BAS has a broad range of quality system and corporate approvals – including Rolls Royce, Honeywell and Lucas Aerospace.
BAS customers include Rolls Royce, Honeywell, BAE Systems, GKN Westland, Airbus UK, Shorts Missile Systems, Goodrich, Bombardier and Mettis Aerospace.
