SHOW NEWS: STAFDA Numbers Up 9%

Both attendance and the number of booths were up 9% at the 29th annual Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors convention.
STAFDA reported attendance at 4,838 at the convention in Baltimore. STAFDA reports actual attendance numbers based on attendees picking up badges onsite rather than total registration including “no shows” and cancellations.
The record 815 booths were up 9% with 20% of the exhibitors new from 2004.
The attendance and booth numbers outpaced records set in 2004 at the convention in San Francisco.
STAFDA programs included a keynote speech by Colin Powell, the traditional state-of-the-industry speeches, Tech Fair, Distributor, manufacturers and rep rap sessions, a variety of educational workshops, opening party at Camden Yards, spouse programs and the trade show.
