PPG Building Fastener Coating Plant in Taiwan

PPG Industries has begun construction of a facility in Taiwan for electrocoating and dip/spin coatings of fasteners and small parts, senior vice president Rich Alexander announced. The plant will operate as Alltech Engineered Finishes when it opens in the second quarter of 2006 in the Hsiao Kang district of Koahsiung.

Alltech will coat parts for construction, industrial, electronics and automotive applications. The plant’s capabilities include processing zinc phosphate conversion coatings and multiple colors of electrocoat.
