Nemchev Heads Fastening Systems for Stanley Works

Stanley Works promoted Denise Nemchev to president of its Fastening Systems business, which produces Stanley Works’ Bostitch tools and fasteners. Nemchev succeeds John Garlock.
“Denise is a proven and tested Stanley veteran with experience and leadership skills that position her to undertake the challenge of leading our Fastening Systems team at this time,” stated CEO John Lundgren.
For the past two years Nemchev was president of Stanley Industrial Tools. She joined Stanley in 1992 as a manufacturing engineer.
Founded in 1843 as a door bolt manufacturer, Stanley Works makes tools, hardware and specialty products for home improvement, consumer, industrial and professional use. The company recorded net sales from Industrial Tools, including fasteners, of $1.37 billion in 2005.
