Hausoul New NFDA Executive Vice President

John Hausoul is the new executive vice president of the National Fastener Distributors Association.

Hausoul was hired by the NFDA’s management firm, Smith Bucklin of Chicago, for the position. Housoul was executive director of the Rigid Plastic Packaging Institute. His 10 years of management experience with national trade associations also includes the Society of the Plastics Industry and the American Chemistry Council. He also was with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

At Rigid Plastic Packaging Institute Hausoul developed and implemented change in affiliation, organizational bylaw and board structure to improve cost effectiveness by more than 50%. He led the RPPI through an industry recession while retaining and growing membership.. Housoul holds a master’s degree in public management from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree from Northland College.
