Japan Steel Companies Increase Wire Rod Capacity

Three Japanese steel companies are boosting capacity for wire rod due to increased production of Toyota, Nissan, Honda and other automakers, Japan Metal Daily reports.
Nippon Steel, Kobe Steel and Sumitomo Metals Kokura are all expanding cold heading steel wire production. Nippon has ramped up capacity in Japan, China and Thailand, while Kobe is boosting production in at current domestic facilities.
