Domestic Manufacturing Challenge Is Keynote Subject at Interwire

Manufacturing Challenges will be the topic of Patrick Cleary’s keynote address to the Wire Association International May 7, 2007. Cleary, senior vice president of communications at the national Association of Manufacturers, will speak on “Overcoming Manufacturing Challenges.” Cleary will cover competitive strategies, including removing costs from the system.

The address will be part of WAI’s 77th annual convention and the International Fastener Exposition, May 5-10, 2007, at the I-X Center in Cleveland.

The program also features a presentation by Philip Radbourne of Integer Research on “Where is the Money in Wire & Cable?” Radbourne will offer comparison between Western producers and emerging players in China and Taiwan. Additional sessions include a series of how-to production solution demonstrations to avoid common shop floor challenges; a new cycle of WAI’s Fundamentals of Wire Manufacturing course; and a Wire Technology workshop.
