Powers Fasteners Inc. announced it filed a suit against Metallics Inc. and Avanti Screw Inc. for patent infringement of the Powers Wall Dog anchor.
President Jeffrey Powers said the company is seeking a jury trial and permanent injunction with damages for Metallics’ Silver Claw fasteners. Powers describes its anchor as “the first one-piece fastener for anchoring into wallboard.” Wall Dog anchors are installed with a Phillips-head driver and can be used in concrete.
