TRW Sales & Profit Increase

Boosted by high vehicle production in Europe and China, TRW Automotive reported sales, including fasteners, climbed 8.5% to $3.8 billion during the second quarter of 2007, while net earnings grew 7% to $97 million.
Sales during the first half of 2007 increased 6.8% to $7.3 billion, but operating earnings dropped 11% to $380 million.
In July TRW Automotive’s Engineered Fasteners & Components business added a new 6,000 sq meter plant in Bytca, Slovakia, to manufacture interior and cockpit components.
