ITW’s North American Engineered Products, including fasteners, achieved sales growth of 2.7% to $952.5 million during the fourth quarter of 2007. Segment operating income grew 3.6% to $147.2 million. Full-year engineered sales increased 1.5%, while operating income declined 4.7%.
Sales at ITW’s International Engineered Products, including fasteners, climbed 35.8% to $1.1 billion, with operating income gaining 21.4% to $163.9 million. Full-year segment income rose 33.7%, while operating income grew27.7%.
Overall Q4 sales at ITW gained 19% to $4.24 billion, and operating income improved 14% to $665.7 million. Acquisitions accounted for nearly 11% of revenue growth.
Full-year sales at ITW increased 17% to 16.17 billion, despite “slowing in a number of North American end markets.” Operating income rose 10% to $2.62 billion.
