Chaikelson Retiring

Mortie Chaikelson will retire February 12, 2008, as vice president and legal counsel after 35 years with Infasco, general manager Patrice Gervais announced. \
Chaikelson joined Infasco as legal counsel in 1972 after four years in private legal practice. He signed on in anticipation of his management and sales roles beyond being the company”s staff attorney.
“Mortie”s contribution to the success of the company over the years is considerable, through the quality of his work, his detailed knowledge of the market and his integrity,” Gervais said. “I would like to particularly acknowledge his interpersonal abilities both with colleagues and clients with whom he has developed special relationships that have contributed to the growth of the company”.
Chaikelson commented on “long lasting relationships with distributor customers, combining business and friendship” and talked about “spending lots of time from the 1970s through the 1990s with many customers who loved to visit Montreal annually.”
