Following an overall growth rate of 24% during 2007, China exports of steel and copper fasteners slowed to a rate increase of 8.4% in January 2008, Xinhua News Agency reported. During January manufacturers in China exported 230,000 tons of fasteners valued at $327.4 million, a 24% jump in revenue.
