A new fastener trade show in Hungary will be the first to focus on Eastern Europe. Fastener Fair Budapest will be September 22-23, 2008.
Fastener Fair organizer Jerry Ramsdale sees the increasing cost of business in the Far East, including cost of raw materials and sea freight, is creating opportunity in Eastern Europe.
“Global manufacturing and production companies have been heading to China and the Far East for many years now, but economic events in that part of the world and in the global economy are combining to make the Far East less tempting,” Ramsdale commented.
Ramsdale noted to skill shortages and new labor laws are driving up labor costs in China. “What this all means are that there are now incredible opportunities for end-users, distributors and manufacturers in eastern Europe to take advantage of the new rush by global producers to do business in their part of the world.”
The Budapest show features manufacturers, machine suppliers, wholesalers, distributors, importers, exporters, tool suppliers, trade associations and suppliers of services and related products.
