Bellanti Heads Forgers

John Bellanti was elected president of the Forging Industry Association. Bellanti is executive director of corporate manufacturing services of American Axle & Manufacturing Inc. of Detroit.
William Hoban, chairman of Cleveland (OH) Hardware & Forging Co. and president of Green Bay Drop Forge of Green Bay, WI, was elected vice president.
The association reported North American impression die sales rose from $4,637.5 million for 1999 to $4,794.7 million for 2000. Open die forgings rose from $725.2 million in 1999 to $745.1 million for 2000. Seamless ring forgings edged down from $607.7 million in 1999 to $606.6 million last year. Web: forging.org. \
