Fastener Exports From China Continue Decline

China exports of steel and copper fasteners fell 43% to 130,000 tons during May, with the value dropping 48% to $186.7 million, Xinhua News Agency reports.

During the first five months of 2009 fastener exports from China declined 45% to 570,000 tons, hit by 85% antidumping tariffs by the European Union, which traditionally consumed as much as one-third of all fastener exports from China.
