Jim Witucki is the new North American sales manager for Skako A/S. The Danish-headquartered publicly-held company manufactures concrete production equipment and aerial lines, control systems, mixers and bucket conveyors and lifts and sells internationally.
Witucki started in the fastener industry with Nucor Fastener Division in 1986 and became sales manager in 1995. He joined Würth Group’s Dokka Fasteners as director of sales in 2013.

Jerry Ramsdale has begun publishing Torque magazine, which is directed at distributors selling fasteners plus tools and hardware. Torque’s first tradeshow was held as the first fastener event in the UK since 2008. Torque will conduct Torque-Expo on September 19-20, 2017, in Singapore.
Ramsdale started in the fastener industry with an engineering company and later founded Southern Fasteners, Bolt & Bearing, Machine Screw Supplies Ltd., and Socket Screw Supplies Ltd. He developed the idea for a UK tradeshow as a way to promote the distributorships, and the first Fastener Fair was held in 1995 in Donington. He launched Fastener + Fixing magazine in 1998.
First held in Stuttgart in 2005, by 2009 Fastener Fair Stuttgart had grown into the world’s largest fastener tradeshow. Ramsdale sold the trade show and publication to Mack Brooks Exhibitions Group in 2010.

TriMas Corp. appointed John Schaefer president of the TriMas Aerospace group.
Schaefer will report directly to CEO Thomas Amato, who took over for ousted CEO David Wathen in August.
“He has significant industry experience in business development, manufacturing, lean and continuous improvement, and supply chain management,” Amato stated.
Prior to TriMas, Schaefer was president of TransDigm’s Adams Rite Aerospace division, an aerospace product designer and manufacturer. Additionally, Schaefer retired as a lieutenant colonel in the Marine Corps after 22 years of service, where he led aerospace supply chain and MRO activities.
Schaefer holds a B.A. from the University of Florida and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
