Thirty cold headers and 20 thread rollers are among the fastener manufacturing items in an April 20-26, 2017, auction.
The auction is due to the closure of the Southern Fasteners plant in Mississippi.
The auction includes cold headers and parts formers including machines from Toko, National, Manville, Ceva, and Itami; Waterbury Farrel, Saspi, Manville thread rollers, multiple wire drawers, bull blocks, presses & machine tools.
Southern Fasteners was operated by Acme Screw Corporation, which continues to operate facilities in Illinois. Acme’s product line includes standard headed, threaded & SEMS fasteners and specialty products, such as wire forms with multiple bends, flattened areas, pierced holes & combinations.
