Würth Group reported sales in the first six months of 2017 rose 7.8% to EUR 6.4 billion (US$7.3 billion), boosted by gains in Southern and Eastern Europe. Sales in Germany grew 5.2%.

The group’s operating result increased 21.8% to EUR 335 million for the period.

The number of employees increased 2.5% to 73,172. That figure includes 32,034 workers in sales and 22,223 workers employed by Würth in Germany.

“Our challenge is to show the added value that we offer with each of our distribution channels and to motivate the customer to make use of them,” stated Chairman Robert Friedmann.
