Taiwanese automotive fastener manufacturer Sumeeko plans to acquire fastener distributors MMG and MMI Fastener of Italy by the end of 2017, Fastener World reports.

The acquisition is expected to increase Sumeeko’s revenue to over US$100 million.

MMG is a fastener distributor mainly for German automotive brands, and its revenue totals EUR 40 million. Acquiring MMG will expand Sumeeko’s business portfolio to fasteners used for wind power, water dams, agricultural machines, and smart phones.

Founded in 1988, Kaohsiung-based Sumeeko manufactures fasteners for the automotive, construction and appliance industries. Web: sumeeko.com
