Trifast plc announced Geoffrey Budd, commercial director and European managing director, has stepped down from the board. Budd joined the board when Trifast listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1994. Previously he had been a TR Fastenings board member since 1986. 

Budd will remain on the operational team at TR Fastenings with responsibilities for the commercial and technical aspects of the business in the UK, Europe, and Asia.  

“I would personally like to thank Geoff for his wise counsel and camaraderie over the years through both challenging and exciting times; together we have seen both the business and its people flourish,” chair Michael Diamond said. He noted that Budd’s 42-years of fastener industry knowledge will be available and “invaluable to pass down to the next generation of leaders within the business.”

Founded in 1973 as a fastener distributor in Uckfiled, East Sussex UK, Trifast began manufacturing in 1976. Today Trifast is a manufacturer and distributor of industrial fasteners and C components with six Asian and one UK plants; 28 European, Asian and U.S. logistics facilities. Trifast has 1,200 employees.
