FIN SURVEY

“Sales,” “sales,” and “sales” were the most frequently mentioned problems by participants in the 32nd annual FIN Survey. 

The FIN Company Performance Index hit a new low for 2009, falling from 6.5 at the end of 2008 to 3.8 a year later.

More than 65% of fastener companies reported job cuts, including nearly 84% of fastener manufacturers.

Light at the end of the tunnel? The fastener industry expressed optimism in 2010, with the sales index expected to double to 3.8 and the profit index to jump 65% to 3.6.
