Senco Names Johansen New CEO

Fastener supplier Senco Brands Inc. appointed Ben Johansen to CEO.

For the past four years Johansen was president of Actuant Corp.’s DIY business responsible for North American and European operations. Prior experience includes 15 years with Newell Rubbermaid and nine years with Black & Decker.

Johansen holds a B.A. in Business Administration, with emphasis in Marketing and Industrial Relations, from California State University.

“Ben brings an extensive knowledge of sales, marketing and operational leadership to Senco,” stated Steve Welborn, managing director of Senco owner Wynnchurch Capital. “He has been successful at driving global growth initiatives, leading operational turnarounds and building outstanding organizations.”

Cincinnati-based Senco was formed in 2009 when private equity firm Wynnchurch bought bankrupt Sencorp. Senco manufactures construction and industrial fasteners, including nails, staples and screws, as well as fastening tools. ©2010 GlobalFastenerNews.com
