The Bossard Group “significantly” expanded its presence in the aerospace industry by acquiring the Boysen distribution business of the German AQUAERO Group (owner of SACS Boysen Aerospace Group). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition is expected to close in July 2019.

Founded in 1967, Boysen distributes fasteners to an international customer base, generating annual sales of CHF 29 million (US$29.8 million). Munich, Germany-based Boysen employs 54 people at facilities in Munich, Hamburg and Irving, TX.

Bossard said the business will operate under the Boysen name.

In recent years, Bossard has bolstered its expertise in the aerospace industry. In 2015, it acquired U.S. distributor Aero-Space Southwest Inc. The next year, Bossard received its official aerospace certification for France and Switzerland. In 2019, it received its aerospace certification in Italy.

Switzerland-based Bossard posted record results for 2018, with sales rising 10.8% to CHF 871.1 million (US$884.7 million) and “all market regions contributing.” In the U.S., sales increased 9.4% to CHF 240.9 million. Web: Bossard.com
