Pacific-West Fastener Association announced to members that there would be no events pending the COVID-19 situation.

“Needless to say, for the near future we have cancelled all planned activities where people would gather, in order to abide with government directives and to avoid spreading this disease,” Pac-West president Ron Stanley wrote to members.  “We do not know when we will be able to get back to business as usual, but we look forward to when we can see one another again!”

Pac-West is providing COVID-19 information to members, including legal counsel on guidelines for “essential business” and a blog for members to share best practices in the current environment.  The information is available at Pac-West.org.

Stanley, of Empire Bolt & Screw in Spokane, WA, suggested members contact executive director Vickie Lester with questions.  Tel: 562 799-5500  Email: vLester@Pac-West.org

Pac-West held a joint conference with the National Fastener Distributors Association during the first week of March just days before the cancellations and “Stay Home” orders began being announced.  To read coverage of that meeting, click the headline: Lawrence: “I Doubt Your Suppliers Are Enamored with Amazon.”

Stanley, who is working from home, noted that “most of you are resigned to the fact that we still have a tough road ahead of us for a few more weeks before we get our arms wrapped around how to reduce the spread of the virus.”

Stanley noted Empire Bolt “continues to support the customers identified as critical to our country’s infrastructure.”  As many Empire people are “working from home as possible to meet our state’s guidelines of ‘Stay Home, Stay Healthy’.”
